Post-punk sextet TVOD have dropped their new single, ‘Pool House’. The track continues to shine a light on the band’s unique approach to modern punk, with a tight, rigid backbone and the bright shimmer of guitar blending with quirky synths and mellotron textures. The gritty energy of the track reaches its peak during the chorus, which takes the shape of a massive, melodic sing-along that juxtaposes the band’s previous experimentations with minimalist influences. They say: “Filmed in a shitty hotel pool in New Jersey, a 1970’s modern American punk band gets dumped at a pool party.” The band’s forthcoming album, Party Time, drops on May 9th, 2025. -Dan Peeke
